How do I listen to music from my samsung transform on my kenwood headunit?

I just bought a kenwood kdc-hd548u headunit and hooked up my samsung transform into the USB port and it didn't find any music on it. But I have music on my sd card that is in my phone. Anybody have ideas why it says it cannot find the music?|||put water and RIDE THE LIGHTNING!!!!!!!!
