I have a samsung gravity and every time i press a key my phone beeps. How do i turn the beeping off?

I got the samsung gravity today and every time i press a key, the phone beeps. For example, if i try to text, every time i press a button, i hear a beeping sound. I went on sound to try to mute the beeping but there's nothing there to stop it. Can anyone tell me how to mute/stop the beeping?|||under menu... settings... keypad tone...volume.. select "0"
