Is samsung digital camera a good buy? Meaning the quality and durabilty?

I am plannig to buy a digicam, I have seen a samsung one. Is this ok?? All I want is a camera who can give me good pictures and is durable. Thanks|||groppetti is right, a canon or a nikon. I may cost a bit more for the canon or nikon but the quality makes it worth it. The Canon A1000 is on sale for 159.99. not bad but is it worth it yes.|||For picture quality i recommend canon because you get really clear colours. However Panasonic are now really god a digital cameras. The new lumix range offers cameras which are small, compact and neat yet they still have amazing features including intelligent auto mode and image stablizer as well as face detection. they start from around 拢139 i think.|||Samsung is OK...not the best but for your dollar's worth, get the Kodak Easy Share...it does a lot. I have one and am still amazed at all the things it can do. Try Target and Best Buy.|||Cant fault Samsung. We have one on our boat and it regularly has accidents and gets damp put puts up with our abuse well|||canon always does the job,and the image quality is extraordinary,you won't regret.|||no get a Nikon or a Canon they both take the best pictures of all the brands of digital camera's|||samsung will do the job
